So I just got my MBP last week, and have had no problems at all with it except for with Front Row. I played a DVD in Front Row, and once the movie was over, I pressed the menu button on my Apple Remote to get it back to desktop.

The program went and froze on me. Nothing worked, but as a longtime Windows user, I was used to crashes (haha) and I rebooted my system. Nothing else has any problems at all on my MBP, just Front Row. Everything else runs just swimmingly.

I've heard from a bunch of people that you should return a laptop if you have any immediate problems with it after recent purchase, and my MBP is still under warranty.

The thing is, I really don't want to go through the process of returning my laptop (and maybe getting one with the oft-heard issues of "heat, noise, fan problems, peeling paint, etc.") now that I've got it working great with my music, homework, and bootcamp.

You can just press Apple Key + Alt + Escape.... that'll force quit you out of Front Row.

Front Row is probably the most unstable app in OS X. Sometimes it will hang, eat up all your idle process cycles and ram. Force quit it when it misbehaves.

I had to do it about ten minutes ago. I'm not sure why sometimes it misbehaves, but I've only had to force quit it maybe a handful of times since I've owned this laptop.

Apple isn't going to accept a return for your laptop because a program locked up. It's not that big a deal.
