Crash Logs in Applications folder?

I've been noticing crash logs appearing in my Applications folder on my Mountain Lion hard drive which is the drive I'm currently using. Though I've had some connection issues with the internet I haven't had any software crashes. Wondering why they end up in there?

They look like this:

CmActDiagLog2017-05-28-180732.log

From searching around it look like those logs are created with the launch of the app CodeMeter. Do you have that app?

I do actually. It's a License activator for Reason. A propellerhead software vital ignition key do you think I should report it to them? Do you think it's causing any harm?

Not really hurting anything. I read there is a setting where you can pick a different folder for those logs. They get deleted in 14 days anyway, so I guess you could just ignore it.

I just read that on some web site, so I'm not familiar with where the setting would be. If you hit command-comma while in the app, does that bring up a settings panel where it might be?
