Crashing applications issue

Hi, I'm new here and I have a problem.

I can't use some applications such as Skype and Chrome. They keep closing just after open and that "App quit unexpectely" message appears and I send the report to Apple everytime.

Does someone have the same problem and this is a known issue or is there something wrong with my Macbook? It's a 2011 i7 Macbook Pro.

Sounds like something is wrong with your operating system. Not a known problem, if it was, nobody would buy Macs.

So do I have to reinstall it? Is there an installation repair or something like that?
