Crazy but cool app for camera, will it work?

ok, I love the simplicity of the iPhone's harware and software, and although I really don't need this feature it might be cool if it works.

Here goes...
As stupid as it sounds, I though it MIGHT work.
Would their be an app in (cydia) of course that would allow users to take a picture by touching a sensitive part of the antenna?

When the Death grip was the big thing, and you touched a certain area, the signal would go down, is their anyway for a developer to tweak the app so that when the camera app is launched, any touch to the most sensitive part of the antenna would snap a picture.

Ya it may sound dumb, but you could snap a pic without covering anypart of the screen?

Why would you want to do that? It's not hard to go into the camera app and shoot a pic.

First of all, the only way for the software to know if you're covering the most sensitive part of the antenna would be to check if your reception decreases.

But reception might not even decrease if you have a really strong signal, so the photo won't be taken.

On the other hand, your reception might decrease for some other reason, and a photo could be taken unintentionally.

And also, even if it worked normally, it probably wouldn't even be instantaneous, since it takes a while for your signal to drop, so you'd have to keep your finger in that spot on the antenna until it dropped enough for the software to know that you're touching the most sensitive part of the antenna.

Yes, but why would you ask for something that would make the phone impossible to hold rather than asking for the volume button to become the shutter?

That's the part that makes no sense.

True, I didn't think of it like that. Because I could never see apple adding a dedicated camera button, this would be like an invisible button

If you really do not want to touch the screen to take a picture then just use FastSnap to use the volume button to take a pic...

Just install SnapTap from Cydia and use the volume button if you really need to take a picture from the edge of the phone.

Check out Gorillacam app. It allows you to take a pic by tapping anywhere on the screen. Also has a nice self timer feature among other things. I think its one of the better camera apps.

Yes get snaptap, its awesome. No idea why you would rather use the antennae spot instead of the volume buttons.

or any other app, that's a stupid and weird way to take a picture "sorry Bob, I can't capture that because it's a really strong signal in this area"

I get that you are trying to think of a way to take a picture without having to tap any buttons but with the iPhone it is so easy. It's not like you're using a Blackberry where it takes twice as long. You're just too spoiled by your awesome iPhone

It will be better if you make it so that if you don't move the phone to automatically make picture. Not perfect but better.
