I'm sitting in class and my dock won't shrink down. If I get a minute of slow time to restart I will, but I was wondering what would cause this? Anyone?

Yeah, tried hiding it, nothing happened. The funny thing is, everything worked still, it just wouldn't shrink. There was a slow spot in class where the teacher was just blabbing so I did a quick restart. I also realized I need to remove some junk from this thing. It's getting kinda slow with only 11.8gb of free space on the HDD!

Not sure if this will help at all, but everry once in a great while my dock will do this and I just unplug my mouse and plug it back in and it's all fixed. It's almost like the mouse was "ghosted" over the dock. If that makes any sense :p

Not so easy with a trackpad ;)

Somewhat related: I had the opposite happen where my dock wouldn't magnify. I went to the dock settings to confirm nothing had changed and it was still set to do so. i changed the settings and nothing happened. I also had to restart to get it working again (not that it is that important but I hate things not working arbitrarily).

Also, I didn't have a mouse at the time (macbook) so I don't think that is it.

It happens to me from time to time but that is because some other process is blocking and using up so much processor on the machine that causes everything else to freeze up...
