Ok... I have this problem... that is going to drive me back to PC. PLEASE HELP!!! :(

- I posted a while ago that my mac was randomly making this error noise quietly through my speakers (even when sound was muted). It happens randomly, but often within a minute of the last time. Nothing could get rid of it!

- Then I restarted my mac the other day and it took about 10 mins to start up. Each click of the mouse took about a minute to work. All internet browsers would just crash. It was a horriffic mess. Nothing would help.

- I tried an archive and install... just gave me errors. Would not reinstall OS X.

- Saved all my important files on dvd and did an ERASE AND INSTALL. Thought all my problems were gone.... UNTIL........

THE NOISE CAME BACK...!!!!!!!! Same little error noise repeating every few mins. :( What in the world could possibly cause that noise even after an Erase and Install?!?!

It sounds like you have a hardware problem.

To check, open the system profiler (Apple Menu-->About this Mac-->CLICK more Info)

Then click the Diagnosis tab and see if there is any information displayed.

This might determine if you have a hardware problem.

Either way you should take your computer to the nearest apple store. If there is not one near you, call apple support.

Good luck and I hope your mac experiance improves!
