Other Crazy phone glitches!!!

I did the 11.4 update on my 8 and X and the phones are a wreck. I decided to start over from scratch last night and things are not better. I erased everything and only brought back my texts. Good grief.... like the camera only loads about once every 10xs I try. It is studdery too on my 8. I couldn’t pair my watch and that finally worked. Every app I use has to be restarted and sometimes the internet doesn’t work. Phones are in different networks. The 8 was just replaced. Neither is damaged. Anyone else having insane issues?? So many more I don’t have time to type.

Go to apple store, free replacememt if you can reproduce the issues

I amazes me how it works so well for some and is a disaster for others.

I always restore my phone from an encrypted iTunes back up rather than waiting for the cloud restore. The iTunes restore only took like 5 minutes and my phone was perfect including all passwords, images and music.

Hope you get it figured out. To have both your X and 8 mess up is suspicious.

I see that you erased it, but have you done a restore via iTunes? Because I haven't seen too many issues on 11.4 with other peoples devices or mine.

Place the device into DFU mode and restore from iTunes using a fresh copy of the IPSW.

From there, set the phone up as new.

If this somehow does not solve the issue, you should go to Apple and demand they fix, repair, or replace the devices.

That will be my next step. I leave for vacation tomorrow and didn’t have time to go today. Hopefully they will work enough til I get home!
