Hello, I am VERY OCD when it comes to my files as I am sure many of you are.

I store many misc pictures in my pictures folder outside of the Photos store. I keep them in several folders.

Example
-Screen Shots
-News Headlines
-Facebook / Twitter
Ect ect

Its easy to keep them categorized well. However I also keep a "Best of" folder where I tag and make a duplicate copy of some of my favorite images.

I use Name Manger to add the term BestOf at the end of the file names. I also tag all of the best of files Orange, as well as the originals orange in their respective folders.

This system is OK, sometimes tedious. Is there a better way to store these kinds of duplicate folders.

I haven't used OSX in a few years but, is there a way to create your bestof folder that will allow you to index your photos and display them without creating duplicates that take up extra space? Kind of like how albums work on iOS, I guess...

Smart Folders are still around, aren't they?

You could create a Smart Folder that'll show the files that are, say, images tagged with orange. (at least I think that's how Smart Folders work)
[doublepost=1488605348][/doublepost]Or put your Best Of folder in the Finder sidebar and cmd-option-drag an image onto it to create an alias to the image file. This will greatly reduce the size of the Best Of folder because you're not actually copying the file.
