I am only using iPad Pro and iPhone right now. No laptop. I wanted to create an email alias and so I logged on to iCloud by browser on the iPad, and request desktop site. But when I went to accounts, even though I could see the one other alias I have, it would not let me tap on create a new alias. Anyone know why?? I managed to log on using someone else’s laptop and it let me in internet explorer. If I am running the desktop site in chrome on my iPad why won’t it let me still?

Maybe it needs some specific type of compatibility that the mobile browser doesn’t support. Check if you have JavaScript turned on.

Hi, recently I had a similar experience (iOS 11.2.6).
I managed to create an alias after signing out (in Settings) from the device.

After imputing the new alias you have to hit Return (Enter) and tap Done (Save)
(Apparently this is not a valid setting for Gmail and iCloud)
Not tested what happens in case of signing into the device again.
