I am new to osx and wana create a network shortcut to my dock and/or desktop. My network is in a windows server and i already logged in with my password and login name. When i drag my network to the dock it does nothing.... i saw online that if you hold option option comand and drag it then it will help... nothing again. i just want a shortcut to my network folders on my dock.

fyi... i try to Make Alias option and it doesnt even allow me to select it?!?!?!:confused:

I don't think you can drag the "networked computer" icon to the dock, or make any kind of alias of it. Instead, you can drag the actual shared folders within the networked computer down to the dock, next to the trash.
