As a long time media mizer, I have about 6000 songs that I no longer listen to and I do want them in my "main" library. The songs are problematic when 3rd party apps scan my library to determine my music tastes or when I make a random playlist and in other situations as well.

I want to keep the music in case I wax nostalgic, but I don't want it mixed with the songs I regularly listen to, and I want to exclude it from my Apple Music online music storage.

I've already created playlist with the songs that I want to "archive" , and I created an archive library to move them to before I delete them from the main library.

After I delete them from main library, they'll be removed from both my hard drive and Apple Music library, right? I also want to be sure that they won't sync with my iPhone if it's connected when I open the Archive Library.

Thanks!

off-topic note: It was interesting to go through my library and see what kinds of music I listened to 10+ years ago..it's like I was a different person! There are some timeless songs in there that I will keep in the main library, but most of them will be deleted.
