As the title says... given the available technology, what would be your ideal iPhone? One that already exists, or a custom combination of the current ones?
Here's mine:
- 5'8 display size with flat edges, somewhere between the Mini and the normal size
- aluminium or polycarbonate frame, aiming for as light as possible, 150 grams maximum. Maybe no glass back to save weight, even if it means losing the wireless charging
- pro features including all the cameras and 120hz display
- usb-c
- no faceID, would prefer a tiny notch/cutout for the selfie cam and gain all the extra screen space. For security, just have simple camera based face recognition, or a password daily unlock or something, or just handle it like all the iPhones before touchID. No one has access to my phone anyway. I've spent years of finger/face unlocking my iphone for no benefit, the whole system just seems overkill for a lot of people.
- the last one is a pipedream: no camera bump, iphone 5 style, but physics probably make that impossible for now.
