Hello!
I have 50 image PNG files that correspond to frames of an animation

I want to put them all in an animated GIF in an automated way. Ideally with a program that I could just select them all and the program would merge them together.

My current solution has been really tedious via Fireworks to add each frame one at a time...my friend recommended Animation Shop but that's Windows-only. I downloaded a few Mac programs but none seemed to do what I needed,

Thanks!
Adam

Do you have photoshop?

Open a file select the first one, select as a sequence. Save for web as a .gif

Flash will do it. I'm assuming you have that if you have Fireworks.

When you import the pictures, select all the pictures you wish to import, it will place one per frame. You can then go to File-Export etc.

I don't have PhotoShop but I do have Flash 8

Nick: I just tried Import To Stage on a bunch of files but rather than putting each file on a different frame it put them all on the same frame. Is there a way to tell it to import but to put each image in a different frame?

macstudent: How would I import them all into different frames in Fireworks rather than doing them one by one?

Just figured it out in Fireworks...I did File > Open, selected all the images, then clicked the checkbox that says "Open As Animation" in the bottom left hand corner. Great!
