How can I copy the picture word "Zorik" and make a white solid version of it.

I want to copy exactly how it is, except I want to get rid of the background and make it white letters and feather the edges.

What's the best way of doing it on a mac?

Shouldn't this be in the Design and Graphics forum? Perhaps the source is a photo, but I don't think this qualifies to be in the Digital Photography forum.

The best way - in my experiance - would be to open the image in Adobe Illustrator and use the pen tool to trace each letter.

It's not a difficult process, but is time consuming.
