Creating dvd files to hard drive

First off Toast does not do what i want it to but it is an excellent app.

I want to create dvd files as seen on a dvd ie. VOB files, but i want to save them to the hard drive in that format. I can't find mac version of Ashampoo or Nero, is there another app that will do what i want it to.
