iOS Creating icon for the app.

I have created an app that I with to submit to the app store after I am done testing it. Only other thing I am left with is the main icon for the app. I have never created an icon before and need some suggestions on what tools do you guys use to create an icon. Or are there any free images available for use as icons?

I usually just do something simple in photoshop.

If you have Sketch, once you've made the icon this plug is great for generating most of the sizes & naming them in one go.

You can use "Prepo" software which creates icon sizes for your image.
