For a long time now i have been thinking of a good idea for an app.

Since the SDK release i have wanted to create it, but havent had the time to even start.

Now i have the time i just wondered if someone could offer some advise as I am a complete novice to computer programming or code writing.

Will this hinder me, is there anything that I could do that would help my knowledge and enable me to create the app?

Any advice will be appreciated greatly.

Cheers

Umm, if you dont even not that absolute BARE BONES of ANY type of scripting or coding, i have a feeling you will not create your first app thats usable for atleast 2 years..

programming is not like creating a website in iweb. You have to be atleast a little skilled and talented. I mean, some apps ARE considered easy, but still. they are only easy to developers.

Hate to sound negative, but if your computer knowledge is stuck at 'web surfing and iTunes' you have a LONG way to go before you can create (even a simple Hello World) applications. That is without the aid of sample code to do it for you.

Coding isn't something you just pick up one day. It takes months to learn, years to understand, a lifetime to master.

Unfortunately, the iPhone isn't really a simple thing to program. Do you think you could write a program for the Mac? How about Windows? Not really much more complicated than writing an App for the iPhone. In fact, the iPhone's limitations make it harder.
