Creating New Mailboxes?

So how does one create new mailboxes in Mail? All I have are the basic Inbox, Sent, and Trash.

You can manually create new mailboxes by clicking the + sign in the lower left corner of the Mail application.

You can create both regular and 'smart' mailboxes.
Smart mailboxes are great if you want to have all e-mails sent to you by one specific person (or more) together in one mailbox, etc ...
They work like smart playlists in iTunes, so you can use it for a lot of purposes.

I dont see this. I are you talking about the mail app on the mac or on the iphone itself?

I don't have the + sign in the mail app on the iphone - only the refresh.
