Hello everyone.
I've been trying to send a file via bluetooth from my Nokia cellphone to my 17" MacBook Pro but the error "Sending Failed" appears. I've also tried with my dad's cellphone and it just doesn't work. Receiving files via Bluetooth works with my dad's Fujitsu notebook so I don't think the phones are the problem.
I can send from the MBP to the phone, but not receive.

So does anyone know if the MBPs are really "crippled" or do I need to configure something to make it work?

Thanks in advance, Pai

Found the answer today myself cos the N70 kept saying failed, go to System Prefs, Sharing, and turn on 'bluetooth sharing' - there's an option in there!:)

If you're running Leopard, you need to Enable 'Bluetooth Sharing' in the 'Sharing' preference pane.

I can't remember how you do this in Tiger, but it's in a different location I believe, in the Bluetooth preference pane.
