Hey guys, I thought what better way to display one of my favourite bodybuilders, Kevin Levrone, than with an “Andy Warhol” inspired design and tribute.
Andy Warhol likely needs no introduction here but for those unaware, he is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and one of my favourite vintage designers. He put his stamp on the industry in the 1950's and 1960's with his vant-garde Pop Art paintings and screen printings. For more info on Andy visit the link here: http://www.webexhibits.org/colorart/marilyns.html
So being inspired by both Kev and Warhol, I took the best of both worlds and came up with the following design. It's a classic Kevin Levrone pose, a timeless art, just like the vant-garde Pop Art of Andy Warhol.
I tried to keep it looking abstract, but looking at it now, I am thinking perhaps I should have kept/added more detail in the back, but for its intended purpose of being hung on a wall from a distance, it still conveys the abstract feel I was looking for.
Well, let me know your thoughts, this was my first time experimenting with this Warhol vintage look. Thanks.
