I like it, :D .
But it is hard to find what you want, maybe have some text on the eye's so you know if you go to contact or about us?

It looks very cool, but it's not very functional when the eyes give no clue of what's behind them.

I usually label all the sections but I was trying to make this site something you could explore. What do others think, should I add section names to the eyes?

I'm going to start on a new template tomorrow and I'm struggling for ideas, so let me know if anyone has some good template suggestions.

I really like it!

I love the template. I think it's intuitive enough, but it couldn't hurt to have some text roll overs.

Boo, you have to register at the other place to download the source.

Could you post the source here?

I like the template. It's skinda spooky, reminds me about how I feel about the trees outside my window.

I like it, nice and unexpected. Good job! I know the type is for placement at this point but it does seem a bit corporate next to the art. Were you thinking of pushing that as well to something thats a bit more in line with the art?

It's very nicely done!
I think I would have the eyeballs sprout in strategic sequence near the end of the tree growth.
ie: tree grows; eyeballs go plop.plop.plop......plop
The last one being the link you want clicked first.

I have a question is this website purpose to promote a business, just you to share design stuff with others of same interest or portfolio?

Because depending on what is the purpose of this site, the eyeball(which are interesting and creepy) may cause unnecessary clicking by a client that frustrates them.

But you are exploring more concepts so maybe you can figure out a balance.

Good luck.

It's all done with system fonts at the moment, so people don't need to install fonts that use the template. I guess I could mix up the layout of the text a bit though.

It's meant to be template people could use for a portfolio website or similar. From the feedback so far it sounds like I really do need to add rollover text atleast to the eyeballs.

Something strange going on here. One black oval dropped down . . . and that was it. Sounds from the posts above there should be more to it than that.

Click on the oval

Ah, thanks. In that case, a very small font 'click' or 'enter' or an arrow could appear in or under the oval to guide someone smoothly to the next stage.

It's very well done, slightly creepy, but it doesn't say to me what it represents. If it's a very small word, maybe one or two of the tentacles could go on to spell something out or show something.

What is it? Show us the final version!

looks very good. But in my opinion it too closely resembles www.tokyoplastic.com. Enter the version 2 of tokyoplastic (I am sure most people have seen this before) and click on the box (strikingly similar idea to the one posted) and watch the flash.

I like the smooth animation and the thumbnail navigation controls but the eyes really creep me out <no kidding>.

The final version has rollover text on the eyeballs and starts to grow automatically at the start.

Toykoplastic was certainly an inspiration for the design, but I'm not up to their impressive standards yet.

rereading my post I came off sounding a bit harsh and did not really intend to. I apologize.

I don't know about that last part. Yours is pretty impressive.
