Over all it looks pretty good, but I'd definitely change the default text on those pictures (header image, videos, pics, etc)....looks very, um, 1994. So with something a bit more subtle and professional.

The only other comment I have is that the forum style (Radioactive signs?) don't exactly match the feel of the main site.

I know about the forum i Will change it. I dident Understand what you ment about the default text. Thanks for the reply.

PLEASE for the love of all that is holy...

dont use google ads. every single "critique my new site" has them, and its honestly, disenchanting to say the least.

seriously, are you trying to make money?

its ugly, distracting, and pointless.

I agree, change the top photo to something different, it's a bit fuzzy, and the photo text is a bit off from the rest of the site. Something a little more minimalist there would look better.
There is also a typo on the front page:
We are the Idea place to be if you own a marmoset or you just love them.

I'm assuming that should say ideal.

Im not trying to make money, I just have them to cover the Domain name price. The site has been up for about 12 days and i Have aredy made $3.00 whitch is 1/4th of the domain name for a Year.

Sorry, I dident see that. Thanks for correcting it.

One more thing (even though I don't think you're really listening to suggestions): In the images/photo's page- try changing the pictures to a thumbnail size, and have the images link to larger picture of them. The loading time for all of those is a bit steep.

Yup, thanks

can not agree more with the tackiness of putting up google ads- ESPECIALLY for a 'critique my site'... I nearly wanted to strangle the site the minute I clicked on it to give an honest crit. To find that just by trying to help you out visually, I'm somehow contributing to you financially, burns my chaps. It should really be a rule and regulation that you disable all ads and banners while asking for a critique.. reimplement once the forum has faded off the front page. If it is really worth making 3.00 off the 'free' advice of other macrumors viewers, then I think you need to rehash your role in support etiquette. At the very least it should be a new rule that one must place some word such as 'ads' in the title of their critique request... warning viewers that the site has alternative motives. /rant...sorta

I would have spent more time writing about the actual site, such as the beveled text going a little too far.. - but I'm still pretty bitter about the google ads. cheap trick for a little skrilla.. not worth the shadow it casts over the 'support' question you posed.

alternative motives? what are you talking about? I made 3.00 USD BEFORE i put up the "critique my site". since then i have made nothing. And if you thought i made this critigue my site thing just to make money you are completely wrong. I was just asking people what they think i should improve behing that this is the first site i did all by my self.

Seriously people. It's just ads. If he had submitted a strictly commercial site, I think the criticism would be sparser.

Get off his back. It doesn't make sense, in my opinion, to remove ads strictly for website reviews. As for making money off macrumors members, come on, that is really over-the-top. Nicolas is regular member who posts in other forums on this board and he's just simply submitting a site for review. As for bitter and strangling websites? Somebody could benefit from better anger and stress management.

Nerdz, your comment about time better spent writing. English may not be his first language, so typos, etc. are expected.

As for the website. I think it's fine. It looks like you used a template though. And I would definitely change the very much 1990s-looking text on many of your pages. A simple text without any sort of bordering or shadows would be a vast improvement.

Please reread my posting.. it said that I could have spent more time writing a critique on the website rather than ranting about the ads... no where in my posting did I comment on the writing style/ability of Nicolas. I would be the last person who should call someone out for a typo, as I'm full of them.

My apologies if I got too bent out of shape about the ads. I should have simply stated that they are an eye sore and that a little time should be spent altering the colors of links/text to help the ads blend into the background.

Sorry, you were indeed referring to yourself. I guess I should spend more time reading carefully. :)
