I did a cross-upgrade with my husband because his line was eligible and mine was not. ( I am on the iPhone X Next plan with a year to go, and he was on a 7 Plus, so I used his line to get and iPhone Max. It's coming today. I already put his 7 plus sim in my X and he has been using the X for the past week. I put my sim from my X into his old 7 plus and I have been using his old 7 Plus for the last week. Everything switched over fine.
My question is, when the new Max gets here can I just take that new sim without ACTIVATING it and just put my sim from the 7 plus in the new Max? Because if I activate the sim that will knock out the sim that he is using on my X, correct? And I would have to do all the updating on both phones.
Sooooo, I was wondering if I can just put my sim from the 7 plus in the new Max and take it from there? Or do I HAVE TO activate the new sim and then do the switcheroo's?
TIA
