Did anyone pick one up?
I'm trying to see what it look like, particularly in Orange or Green for my Black Air.

Please share any colors.

:)

I ordered this shortly after ordering the iPhone and it arrived the day after. My old phone was already reset and in the return box. So the photo isn’t great, as I took it with my old iPad lol.

I got a chance to use the strap today when I went out. It’s great for my purposes, so I’m glad to have gotten it.

The orange looks nice. Thank you so much! Does it move a lot? Is the material flimsy?

The material feels pretty sturdy - not like something that would break easily. The strap is lightly magnetized, just enough so that when you have it shorter, the section in the middle - meaning the section that comprises two pieces of strap - actually stays together as if it were a single piece of strap. This is a nice touch (I hope that description makes sense.)

While I still hold my phone much of the time, I don’t feel I have to worry about dropping it when I’m out and about. And, I don’t have to put it down or away when I need both hands to grab something. It can just hang freely at that time.

Since I don’t like to carry a pocketbook most of the time, and prefer to just carry my phone and MagSafe wallet, it’s nice to have this additional accessory that affords me some more freedom while doing that. Most of my clothes have either no pocket or very shallow pockets, so nowhere to keep a phone.

I think the price is ridiculous and it’s no something I’d wear regularly, but I can see some practical uses when traveling. I had a lanyard case I used abroad a few years ago and I liked it.

Try wearing your phone like that walking through London.
I dare you.
I don't live in London. I live in Austin, TX. Stealing phones and pickpocketing isn't a thing here. That's Euro-ghetto behavior, no offense. (My brother is in London and he told me this same thing, lol.) I feel bad for y'all!

But I've always wanted to go to London. <3 Will take note of this, haha.

It's honestly fine as long as you're not waving your phone around in the tourist hot spots. Just be aware of two people on motorcycles as the one on the back is the one that would grab it out of your hand.

One thing about London over the past few years though, it needs a bloody good clean, it's filthy!

Wonder how comfortable this would be with a 17PM? That’s a heavy phone and I don’t know if having it around your neck would be super comfortable. Does anyone have it?

I have it and I actually like it. I wore it around Milwaukee yesterday and out to dinner. The phone wasn’t heavy to me. I had no issue with comfort at all.

Wife loves hers when we are out walking the dog. She sent the bumper back, but has a couple of identical Ringke clear cases that she has attached the lanyards to one of. She just swaps them over when needed.

One objective of this strap is to show off one's iPhone.

A certain segment of the Apple faithful place a high priority on being "seen" with the latest iPhone like a status symbol or fashion accessory.

Many people avoid using a case just to be certain that their new iPhone is easy to show off and be instantly recognizable to their peers. Narcissism at its finest.

It’s those same people who look down on Android users as inferior or of lesser socioeconomic status.

Apple has used their power of persuasion and status as a market leader to further convince their followers to upgrade frequently or miss out.

After all it’s Apple themselves that started the trend of promoting iPhones and other accessories in fashionable colors. Placing high value on style over other considerations.

It’s a brilliant strategy that's made Apple the success they are today.

I would be interested to know how hard it is to snatch a phone with one these on. Surely it harder than just holding it.

My fear is it could lead to potential injury.
At the moment London is rife with criminals on electric bicycles who snatch a handset from one's hand while zooming past. Now, should a crossbody strap be in place, you now have a high speed biker zooming past, attempting to snatch the phone, which is now strapped around your body/neck, and although that should be enough to ensure the phone stays with you and hopefully slip out of the thieves grip, could it also be enough to yank on that strap enough to cause injury - or even worse, a potential fall, which could result in personal injury of a more serious nature - ie, you're yanked forwards and you fall, hitting your head on the concrete floor etc.....extreme case scenario I know, but possible.

Either that or, considering the strap is magnetic anyways, I wonder how much of a tug it needs to come loose in the first instance.......

Personally, I just don't like the look either. Maybe I could possibly use it in a more safer country, the UAE for instance, but even then I'd be more inclined to attach a wrist strap then a full crossbody....)

The only magnetic area is just on the adjustable part of the strap to keep it tidy.

I agree that using one perhaps isn't a good idea in places where phone snatching is prevalent.

I guess most people intend to use the strap in such a way that the phone will always be hanging low and visible. But for me, as someone who has mostly pocketless clothing and doesn’t want to carry a bag, the strap is functional. I find using it in such a way that it can either fit under some clothing or have a short enough drop so as to always be close to my body is best.

I was already carrying just my phone with a small magnetic wallet attached. This just adds a level of freedom to that. Extra protection if I drop it. The ability to let it hang rather than having to put it down somewhere safely if I need both hands while at a store. Things like that.

All this worry of being dragged into traffic if someone tries to steal your phone in London, a city with a population of 8 million, the vast majority of whom don't actually have their phones grabbed out of their hands.

Years ago, when women were having their purses stolen regularly (mainly in Italy) by moped riding criminals, the advice was to ensure it was worn across the body. People worried they'd be dragged under Fiat 500s (probably damaging the car more than themselves) but it didn't materialise.

This strap is useful for those who like to buy big phones while having small pockets. Or if you're in an environment where you'll be taking many photos. People wear $2000 Canon/Nikon SLRs around their necks, so why not.

(I have the base iPhone 17 so it lives in my pockets.)
