After downloading Steam and a few of my games, I have been testing on of the more graphic intensive games: Half-Life 2

Now everything runs perfectly, I was able to get it up to 80 fps, smooth gameplay, and it doesn't even feel like I am running it under Mac.

Now the only snag is that I get an error every about 40 minutes stating that there is not enough memory. And HL2 crashes (not Steam, just the game).

Now I have 4GB of memory, and HL2 only goes up to about 512MB. How can I give it permission to use up more memory? I want to set it to 1GB since that is much more than enough.

I haven't used Crossover Games so I don't know if it's possible, but can you use the -heapsize command in steam in the game's launch options to set it to use more RAM?
