Hi everyone.
I am extremely disappointed. I waited 2 months, watching youtube videos, trailers, things like that to finally get the Orange Box for my Mac so I could pay Team Fortress 2. So I read up on Crossover Games, buy it, and they tell me that Team Fortress 2 will work well on it, good fps, stuff like that. I get the Orange Box, Wait a day for installing all the crap you have to, and then finally load up Team Fortress 2. This process of loading it up takes about 2-3 minutes.
So after waiting all this time, I get to the main menu, and every thing's looking okay. I pull up the server list, and then the screen starts glitching like mad: Dots and lines flashing everywhere, strange colourful dots, it looks really crap. So then the list stops refreshing and the glitching still is happening. Anyway, 1 of 2 things will happen at this point: Either I'll pick a server and a window will pop up saying "Server could not be connected," and I'll have to pick a new server, or, that window pops up and says the same thing but then the window disappears after a fraction of a second, and the game starts to load.
What happens now is again 1 of 2 things: The game will load to three bars and freeze, or, the game will load until that sign pops up and says "You are now on your way to (Map Name) (Game Type)," and freezes.
I have never go past this point. What really ticks me off is that Portal works fine. Perfect (most of the time) fps, great graphics, and only crashes once in a while. So the reason I think TF2 is screwing up is because connection, or something like that. I am looking for help because I have no idea about how to fix this issue. By the way, I have not installed Half Life 2 or Half Life 2: Episodes 1 and 2 because they will take up too much memory.
HELP PLEASE!
