I have the latest generation 12"PB and was looking to add 1gb of ram. I found this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145068 , on sale. Can anyone tell me if it will work?

The Crucial CT12864X335 will probably work in your 12" G4 Powerbook. Crucial does not guarantee compatibility and neither does NewEgg. NewEgg reserves the right to charge you 15% restocking if it doesn't and you want a refund.
If you don't want to take the risk, then I recommend purchasing from a reputable dealer who tests and guarantees compatibility with your Mac, and has a no-cost return if it doesn't work.

Yeah, you cannot go wrong with Crucial. If a buyer needs to confirm the RAM matching, he or she can send an e-mail and they will get back to you with a definitive answer.nichos said:Anyway, madtodaimax what I usually do is go to crucial, look up your model, get the specs on the required ram, and then get it from newegg. Good luck
Yeah, never had a problem with Newegg. Even with Mac stuff. They never ask when I have to return stuff. I always try to buy good stuff though. Like Samsung or Crucial. I always read the reviews first too. Never bought laptop RAM there, so I can't say what's good. If Datamem or OWC is cheaper or the same price, I'd go with them though since they do guarantee.nichos said:Any reason why you find newegg to NOT be reputable?
<sigh>nichos said:If you order from crucial, they DO guarantee your order:

Any reason why you find newegg to NOT be reputable? Newegg ONLY will charge a restocking fee if you order the wrong part, if the product is DOA they won't charge you - seems like a fair policy to me.
