Hi,

Can i do this with a USB or do i need a CD?

The mini has no Cd drive ...

I don't know because I have not tried it. Though I am curious of the outcome because I am planning to add a M4 in my Mac mini.

I suspect that it should work (a bootable USB instead of a CD) because the only difference , in my eyes is the means of transfer. However to be on the safe side email Crucial and see what they say.

I think it's CD only - at least that is the easiest way. You could buy the Apple CD drive - I think the mini is programmed to see that as an internal device.

I flashed it with an USB stick. It went very smooth!

I used these instruction:

http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3

01. Run the downloaded .exe
02. Step 1: Select "Try Unlisted Linux ISO (New Syslinux)
03. Browse to your Crucial SSD .ISO-file
04. Select your USB drive
05. If your USB drive is not formatted (Fat32) check the box
06. Click "Create"
07. Click "Ok"
08. Reboot
09. Start from USB drive
10. Follow instructions

And then press cmd +c or option +c (I cannot remember which one it was ) and follow the instructions on the screen again. Easypeasy:)
