Hello,

Both sell for the same price (at least in canada), and the vertex looks better.

Anyone with bad exp with it?

you sure about that? I picked up an M4 512gb for $400 cdn...

the vertex 4 is still approx $569.99 at most places.

The Vertex 4 is definitely the faster drive - especially in Random Access which is critical for a boot/apps drive. It uses a new controller that OCZ owns. If I were buying a new SSD today, I'd probably go for it. Even though OCZ is notorious for not doing great validation testing and using their early adopters as beta testers, I'd still consider it.

And at NCIX they are $429 right now.

Hello,

Just bought the vertex, as NCIX was an even better deal than the one I'd previously found.

Omce it gets here I'll make some tests to see how it compares to an aging Intel G2, in real-world situations.
