Hello,

I have installed in my Mac Pro 5.1 a Crucial P2 nvme 500gb disk (CT500P2SSD8), as a boot disk with Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6.
The disk is installed in an Aqua Computer Kryo M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 adapter, in Slot 4 of the mac.

I have run a speed test with the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test application, and the results are: Write 1070 mb/s, Read 1270 mb/s.
Are these results correct for this ssd disk and pcie adapter? From what I've read, would they have to get closer to 1500 Mb/s?

Thanks!

Hello,

IMO that sounds about right. Theoretical max * 80% real-life usage + factoring that particular NVMe's limitations/chipset, I would say that it sounds right.
