For a moment then I thought that a 2GB stick was £28 and was about to order another one as I bought mine a month ago for £48 but alas it is still the same price for a single 2GB stick. Although the price of the 4GB kit has come down from £115 when I was looking before.

1 Gig at Crucial - £17.61

2 Gig
Crucial: £28.19 (thus + £10.58 upgrade cost)
Apple: £90.01 (upgrade cost) - a 751% premium

4 Gig
Crucial: £84.59 ( thus + £66.98 upgrade cost )
Apple: £539.99 - a 706% premium

If it wasn't an utter insult, it would be hilarious. All credit to Crucial for offering a quality product at a sensible price. They are where I get 90% of my memory purchases from. They're DAMN fast on delivery as well.

I could not agree more. Honestly, what is with Apple RAM prices?!

I got a 4GB pack from Crucial for my Mac Pro recently when they had a 10% off weekend and are great for UK service. They match Apple with their delivery times of less than 24 hours.

Because with crucial you say " I want 4 gig for THIS computer " they guarantee it working on that computer - if there's any trouble, they'll sort it out.
