I'm not.

I'm disappointed that both graphics settings still result in a large amount of gameplay around 20 fps. Hopefully the "demo" is more or less a "beta", and performance will improve. Increasing both the graphics settings and the screen resolution seems to make no difference to frame rates, which seems to suggest there's issues with the game. Hopefully these get fixed.

If after some updates frame rates are pushed above 30fps consistently for Advanced settings at 900p, I'll be happy.

unfortunately, demo is not beta. crytek seemed to finish full version of the game. beta you talk about was back in October last year. but don't get wrong. demo version usually doesn't provide full settings or even can't change difficulty level. so you have to wait until full version. dragon age 2 demo is the same ****. many options are dull. you can't change or click at all. the demo sets for normal difficulty level. you can't play as easy, harder at all. that's why people complain about them so much. anyway, one thing is for sure. after playing crysis 2 demo hour, I decided to delete it because I didn't feel like playing crysis at all. it was like the same ******** call of duty MP. there was nothing innovative at all. so pissed off. now I am sure that I won't buy this crap. game menu is not purely for PC dedicated. crysis game is supposed to be PC dedicated game when you look back crysis, crysis warhead. now, crysis 2 is ****ing console port. I am done. this game was last stand to keep PC game experience. but they just broke a promise.

I consider the Crysis 2 demo simply a tech demo, where you think, "Gosh! How pretty is this!". I'm sure the real thing will have a much more extensive multiplayer game set, with tanks, aircraft, cars, nukes, etc.

Although Crytek still need to work on getting it to run better.

What? Haven't you guys heard? Crytek isn't releasing the DX11 high detail stuff(which is one of the main reasons people play Crysis) until LATER.

This smells like a console to pc port :/

Release will be in dx9

The game is a clear console to PC port.

Also tonnes of people are having connection issues including me, some cant even log on, due to how crap gamespy is and others like me cant stay in a game for more than 5 minutes, the problem is widespread and i wont be buying the game anymore.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Have you even researched Crytek. Let me state this: the Crysis series was a PC game, is a PC game, and will be a PC game. The only reasonable explanation is that your rig sucks or your not appreciative of the fact that this is a beta/demo, where things are still being fixed/patched. Do you know that even DX11 (supported by Crysis 2) was not used in the demo/beta, only DX9? Many things great to come are on their way to the retail version. Just be patient, and don't say ignorant things like "Crysis 2 is a console port." Please, I downloaded the development build that was leaked and I set the graphics to Xbox 360 graphic settings and it ran way faster on my PC (which means my iMac is faster than the 360).

OK then, the demo is a clear console port.

The whole online set up reeks of modern warfare and its level based perk based gameplay.

When you start the demo, it asks you to PRESS START to start the game. What PC game asks you that?

I know who crytek are I am not retarded, my rig does not suck either.

I am not going to download an illegal copy of the game, I am only basing what my opinion on a broken demo that has console like gameplay and console menu prompts.

When a company makes a game for all of the platforms, they tend to make them... SIMILAR. This is a PC game demo, that still hasn't released the final retail version. I think it's really premature and elementary to say this game is a failure when it's not even out yet. Crytek is really focusing on feedback, hence the news update about them implementing anti-cheating in retail version.

I don't know about your chucky cheese connection, but 100s of thousands of people including me are playing fine with connection dropout. Again I repeat, all will be fixed when given time.

Tell me one product that didn't have some failure on it's launch. Even Apple doesn't get some launch products correctly, for example the 27" imac and the failing screens. Did that make me give up? no.

Its not my connection, I am aware many people can play it OK but many can't.

Also it is NOT a beta, its a demo so for it to be broken, is pretty bad.

A demo is supposed to sell the game to people, when loads of people can't even log in or play for longer than 5 minutes that is a failure.

I'm not saying the game wont be good but if i cant play online there is no point buying it.

I'm playing crysis 2 on my iMac i7... I'm very impressed with how the game looks however it's very jumpy and my initial thoughts were mw2 like gameplay with the addition of the suit. That has just been pulled of an xbox an slapped on my screen.

Again like most games... They can't run well on iMacs best resolution which is a bummer, however it's not too bad on this game. The magic mouse I Learnt is crap for games! So went and got an alienware tactx lol

But until release it's back to minecraft :-D a game that actually works well on a mac lol

Funny

Sorry guys but Macs weren't meant to game. If you want to experience the true Crysis experience, sell your Macs and get a superior PC.

Any chance of seeing this on a 2011 MBP 13" machine?
Frame by frame I suppose!? The integrated graphics have not become stronger with the Intel 3000 and I don't think the SB will compensate the lack of graphics power.
