Hi All, just wanted to know everyone's performance running Crysis. I don't think i'm doing too well, doesn't feel that playable. I've got 20in imac, dual core intel 2.14 ghz, 2.5gb RAM and ATI 1600X GPU. The last bit is the part i think is letting me down, is anyone else with the same graphics card running it well? I'm running leopard with bootcamp 2.0, using XP (i've tried vista and XP gives better performace). At the end of the day i realise my graphics card is CRAP, its only a 128MB card, but not sure how well Crysis is running on a Windows PC with a better card. My other machine which i havn't been able to try it on is a Dell PC with slightly fast CPU, 3GB ram and Geforce 8600 i think. My mac runs half life, bioshock and most others really well but struggles with Crysis. I upgraded the RAM this week, was on 1GB, but that hasn't made much difference. I'm getting around 15-25 FPS in crysis - The game does run completely fine at this FPS, any other game would probably be nearly unplayable if this was your FPS, especially 15, but still thought it would be better. Crysis doesn't run at ALL if i turn on AA either, basically comes to a stop. I have the full version of Crysis which people said would support the multi core, but i havn't noticed any difference from demo to retail. Let me know what you think....

Crysis was supposed to support a lot of things--multicore processing, SLI, etc.--but it doesn't. Apparently there will be a patch out eventually to take advantage of both multiple cores and SLI.

If you're getting 15-20 fps on a X1600 with only 128 MB of Vram, you're doing extremely well. I don't think that card is suppose to even meet the minimum requirements of Crysis. I don't even think the X1600 with 256 MB of Vram meets the minimum requirements.

I'm playing with a Mac Pro 3 Ghz quad with the X1900 and 2 GB of ram, and I get between 15-25 fps on all high settings with no AA, and at 1280 X 720. I'm using Vista too.

I had the multiplayer beta, and was running 25-30 fps on my compy with low-medium settings. I haven't tried the single player demo yet. I assume it will run smoother, but that might not be true.:apple:

Not enough texture ram. You are seeing texture swapping with main ram, which is a huge killer in performance. 512MB of RAM on the cards you guys are talking about will help a lot. Oh and AA will kill most cards, AA requires tons of bandwidth when you are running computationally complex screens.

Crysis is the new game Benchmark for Performance.
Don't kid yourself, the game needs lotsa juice.

I just downloaded the sp demo last night, and it ran fine at all low settings and 1280x1024, i might try turning up the settings next time i play and see how it does.:apple:
