CS: Source problem with downloading maps

So I got CS: Source on steam for my macbook. The game runs fine for the most part, but about half the time when I enter a new server and sit through the map download I get an error message -- 'missing *map name here* disconnect'



What on earth is that all about?

I had the same problems. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I just download the map manually from a site or forum if it fails so that I can play.

Its a problem with the server/steam not macs. I get this all the time, you have to go to gamebanana.com and manually download some of the maps because last year, counter strike: source got a major update (2007 engine update) and it broke/screwed up a lot of the maps so sometimes you have to just download them off gamebanana.com
