CS3 in WinXp via bootcamp

I was just wondering if anyone here was having any luck using CS3 in WinXP Pro (32 bit version) via bootcamp? Also, is anyone using a wacom tablet in windows with any luck? I would test it myself but I haven't purchased my machine yet and this is one of the determining factors in my buying decision.

I'm using CS3 on XP SP2 with VMware 1.1.1.

I set my VM to enable 2 CPU and set RAM to 2GB on a Mac Pro.

Typically I have Photoshop and two or three large programs open. I've been noticing of late some performance lags when another CS3 app is running simultaneously. i.e. Fireworks.

Still completely usable and I have not experienced a single lockup, but Photoshop dialogs can be slow to display at times. A restart of the VM fixes, it I'm used to keeping my dedicated Windows machine on continuously for months.

Don't know the cause of the behavior unfortunately.
