I do understand that the CS3 master suite is a 16GB install over 4 discs. My question is, how long did it take for you to install the 4 discs in pack 1? I have currently been in the install process for about an hour and a half. This seems like a really long time? I'm not sure what this could mean, bad DVD drive? slow drive? Bad something in the computer??? I donno.. Just wanted to check with you all to see what might be up.

The last suite that I installed was CS in my PC.. It was a while back, and I'm sure it took a several mins, but not an hour and a half..

Also to add, I am just an hour and half in on the 4th disc.. Any comments would be good.

Oh, and I'm on a new Macbook Pro, 2.4 4GB ram, 7200rpm 160GB drive, not even 3 weeks old.

A friend installed the Web Suite (a much smaller, and less expensive package than your's) and it took FOREVER. We went out back and shot some hoops and worked up quite a sweat and the stupid thing was only 75% done!

Put your mouse on the place where the status bar is now and walk away. Come back and see if it has moved.

It is really slow. But it does move.

Well total time for the 4 disc install was 2 hours.. Seems like a long time, but maybe not..

Everything seems to work, so I guess it's all good..

Wow.

Reminds me of the days of Ami Pro (and old Windows word processor) or 95.

You'd get a box of 35-45  3.5" diskettes  and pray that #36 didn't have a bad sector.

Thank god for the CD.
