I think tahat is the date they are announcing when it's released, not the actual release date.
So it was announced on March 1st that it would be announced on March 27th that it would be announced 'sometime in the spring?'
And I received an email announcement on Tuesday in my email from Adobe.

it was announced in the beginning of march that there will be a "launch event" on march 27th in NYC announcing the CS3 suite of products. it was then leaked and later confirmed that the software will actually ship "sometime in the spring"
