CS3 vs CS5.5 on 2007 MBP

Hello,

I'm considering upgrading from Adobe CS3 Master Collection to CS5.5 Design Premium and was wondering if I should expect to see any major performance increases/decreases on my older MacBook Pro.

My Specs:

• Mac OS X 10.7.1
• MacBook Pro 3,1 (Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz) (4MB L2 cache, 800 MHz Bus)
• NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT (256 MB VRAM)
• 4GB RAM (667MHz) DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 (non-ECC)
• 500GB WD WD5000BEVT-00A03T0 5400RPM

No if anything you will see performance increases. CS3 is horrible. CS5.5 is much much better. Also I'm sure you know this but incase you don't Photoshop is not CS5.5, its only CS5.1. It has no effect but I've seen many threads of people thinking something was installed wrong when it wasn't.

That. And it would be beneficial if you upgrade to 6GB RAM (1x4GB 1X2GB). That is the maximum which is supported and would be good if you use Photoshop etc. a lot
