I've been playing around with catalyst. Nice program, but I can't figure out how to compile my project into a single SWF, which is what I need ...very disappointing if that is not possible.( of cource some projects need assets folders, but not if they only consist of sound files and images)
I need to embed SWF files on our intranet etc., and I'm not able to upload folders and assets to a web server.
Are there any software out there that can compile the assets etc. into a single SWF file?

If you are loading external images, video and xml into your Flash project, the SWF is essentially an empty assembler that depends on the presence of external files.

The solution is to embed everything into the SWF file. You would then have a single SWF solution.
Use Flash for this; not Catalyst.
Catalyst is more or less a tool for building functional Flex prototypes without having to write code.
I wouldn't use it for final project construction.
(Catalyst kind of reminds me of the old AS2 slideshow document type in Flash)

Thank you. Hoped I could avoid getting into coding using catalyst.
Bannerzets pro 2.2.1 can combine advanced slideshows with sound etc. into a single SWF.
Well...catalyst is not for me then.
