So, I am trying to figure out how to display a status message so that the user can see it. That is, even if the user scrolls to the very bottom of the document, the status message should still show at the top of the document window.

Can somebody point to a resource? I've Googled quite a bit but can't seem to find a solution.

Thanks
Eric

I did it like so:

Code:
y1 = 100;
document.getElementById("popUpDiv").style.top = window.pageYOffset + (window.innerHeight - (window.innerHeight-y1)) + "px";

Found this somewhere on the intertubes.
