I'm running two mac's
1. IMAC 24", 2.66 Ghz Dual core, 4 GB DDR3, Mac OS X, V 10.6.5
and recently add:
2. MacAir 2010, 1.86 GHZ Dual core, 4 Gb DDR3, Max OS X, V 10.6.5
On each computer my wife uses Safari, while I prefer Mozilla Firefox.
Each computer has the same add ons, (add block plus, and XMarks, for Mozilla) & (Xmarks for Safari)
I watch a TV online.
I use to be able to watch CTV and discovery channel.ca on computer #1.
Then I developed a problem with the Video player on both sites.
I get the following error:
"Sorry, there was an error
We are experiencing temporary difficulties downloading your lineup. Please wait another few seconds and try again if you're still having problems.
Thanks for your patience."
Every time I'd go back , (for months now), I get the same message.
When I bought computer #2, I find I can access CTV and Discovery.
So I know there is no problem with the sites, and the problem is with my setup.
Settings in both computers are the same for both browsers.
Research led me to possible problems with "Silverlight", or "Flip for mac"
I updated both. no effect.
Removed both, no effect
Reinstalled both, now they work with Safari, but not Mozilla (on computer1) .
Computer 1 also runs Perian, Perian isn't on Computer 2
Funny thing is neither of these programs are on computer number 2, and it still works.
Any ideas why it won't work with Mozilla?
P.S. I'm Canadian, watching Canadian channels, so geography isn't an issue.
