Dynamic Island is an ingenious way of Apple playing on their 'weakness' (aka the notch/pill) and turning it into a strength (Dynamic Island, interactive UI around it). Very smart.

How long until we see copies of this method on Android phones? You know Samsung is going to attempt to do something similar with the punch out. I don't think their under screen camera tech is up to par yet, since the selfies that come out of it look like they're coated in chicken grease and the punch out isn't entirely hidden due to the pixels looking low-res in that area (Fold 4).

Remember how the notch was copied when the iPhone X dropped? Eventually they stopped copying but still. This Dynamic Island thing is going to stay for the next 3 years IMO.

I don't know if they'll be able to exactly since only the iPhone has such a large cutout. Apple has taken something that's a necessity for Face ID and made something more from it.
True but now there’s just a glaring hole on other smartphones on the front. Which, before this Dynamic Island implementation… it didn’t matter but now??

Apple’s amazing marketing is hell on earth for other competitors lol

They don’t need to copy it. Android allows that kind of info in the status bar.

True, but Apple’s competitors have always copied many Apple features that they don’t need to. Copying is an easy way to get a perceived better product without actually putting any work into it. Full disclaimer, they all copy to some degree.
