Well, I have a comcast e-mail currently and that's fine for me.

Although, I've got a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 3G. Here are some questions I have...

Do you think I should get MobileMe?

What are the current issues/problems with it?

What's good/important about it?

Especially since you have a Mac and an iPhone, MobileMe allows you to sync your contacts and calendar events wirelessly with your devices. If I add a new contact to my phone, moments later, it shows up on my Mac in Address Book. And vice versa.

If you end up getting more than one Mac in the future, you can sync both computers through MobileMe. Not everything, but things like Dock Layouts, Mail settings and signatures, Preferences, Bookmarks -- along with the Contacts and Calendars.

MobileMe may not be for you, that is, if you prefer syncing through your USB cable or if you don't intend on getting another Mac. But you're a perfect candidate for it. Hope that helps :)

Edit: Oh, and in regards to issues you may run into, just scroll through this part of the forum. Hehe.

I have a Macbook as well as an iPhone 3G, so obviously I thought getting MobileMe was the way to go. At this point I wish I had waited and continued to use gmail, as google calendars and gmail now work very well with the iphone, and are free! If I had it to do over again I would not pay the extra for MobileMe
