Hello everyone! first off id like to say im new here, and you guys look like you have some cool forums. glad to be a part of em now. But my main question is, how much do you think I could get for an old g3 ibook? this things about 5 years old is my guess (i got it for christmas a long time ago) and the thing just doesn't ahve enough memory for me to work with it anymore. i ahve a pc i do most of my work on, but this i use for movie making and what not, but there is no space left on it. heres a pic from the net, but i have the green model as shown. let me know, thanks guys! Also, what would you recommend as a new purchase. i'd take a new macbook pro, but i dont think i could get the money for that right now.

Don't expect more than a few hundred for it, for the same reason you're selling: just not enough for today's computing.

I know some people who want them for purely aesthetic reasons until they find out they really can't do much for today's computer user. I'd say a few hundred is likely all you'll get as well. But then again, I saw one on ebay that's selling for 600+. It all depends on the condition of it.

yeah, i know. kinda sucks that they've become so useless. only has a 10 gb hard drive :( . really sucks, but yeah. I'll have to see what I can do. Thanks guys

I would actually love a clamshell, just as a 2nd laptop for fun, but I'm not financially in the position to do that. Occaisonall you can get lucky with the clamshells- if you get a good offer take it because one probably won't come around for a while

dont get me wrong, its a nifty laptop haha, but i just cant use it at all for wat i want. kinda really sucks, but whatever
