Can anyone point me towards a current CD ripping guide please. Everything I find seems old and possibly outdated. I have over 300 CD's that I want to start ripping but want to do it right from the start so I don't have to redo it at a later time.
I just got a Mac and my ipod is on it's way. I would like to use error correction and have a bit rate that is the best human ears can distinguish, anything above that is a waist imho.
So am I right in thinking MP3s at 256 kbit/s and AACs at 192 kbit/s would be good? and use VBR?
I would like to set up Itunes library the best way with the least amount of redundancy.
Without getting into a huge debate if possible, should I just stick with AAC now that I have switched to Mac and plan on using Ipod?
thanks please
