I believe I would never see such finder window configuration. But after updating to the latest El Capitan build, I see this, every time I boot to Mac OS X.
Figure 1
Literally nothing has left in finder window. This is new for me, though.
What I really want is this:
Figure 2
Plus sidebar.
I need to change to what Figure 2 shows every time booting to Mac OS X. Or I will get lost.
Ironically, from Figure 1 style, I finally know how to go back and forward using keyboard shortcuts. (Cmd + up/down)
And "need to confirm every app using" issue is present in my El Capitan. Luckily, this only affects startup apps, not Every App.
My El Capitan build number is
OS X 10.11 (15A244d)
Seems a little bit different from what others have posted.
P.S.: Where is iOS 9 beta 5?
