Define what you mean by 1st Gen? As I'm assuming you don't really mean a G3 Bondi iMac...

There's still not enough details, can you clarify exactly what models you're using for this.

EDIT: It might work, but I really don't recommend it, there's a large difference in speed between those 2 machines, I suggest you get the correct RAM brand new, rather than do a dodgy swap jobby.

Kinda figured as much. I have a new 3.06 24" that I just took 2 1gb sticks out of and a friend has the 1st Gen Intel that is looking to upgrade ram. I was going to give these to her instead of them hanging out gathering dust.
