Current iPad waiting time for NYC reservations? - OR, got a spare reservation?

hey, long time listener first time caller etc.

i have a friend popping to NYC tomorrow for a week (i'm based in the UK) and i've asked them to pick me up a 32gb wifi iPad to take advantage of the lovely lack of VAT as well as getting an iPad a week before other people in the UK and not having to take a day off work to stand in a queue.

however, when i made this decision, iPads were (relatively) plentiful. now they're not.

i called up and reserved a 32gb wifi model in both the W14th street and 5th ave stores yesterday, but from reading various threads, it looks like i'm gonna be **** outta luck.

however, i haven't seen any threads directly addressing my question of what time reservations are currently taking for wifi only iPads in NYC. so i'm asking it here. anyone know?

(incidentally, unlikely as this is, if anyone placed a spare reservation in NYC for a 32gb wifi and it comes through this week, i'd be happy to offer you something small like a $10 itunes gift card or similar by way of saying thanks).

IN SUMMARY: i'm buggered aren't i?
 
I'm in the same situation as you. Got friends going over to the states later this week and hoping they can pick me one up. But the annoying thing is you can't pay by cash. Do you have to call them to reserve one?

yeah, get calling and reserving! you only have 24hrs to pick it up as well, so make sure they're willing to make it a priority if you let them know it's arrived.
 
any updates? why are none of the people who have reserved 32gb wifi iPads on this forum?
 
I'd like to echo the OP's offer, if anybody has a spare reservation for a 32/64GB 3G iPad in one of NYC's Apple stores, ideally 5th Ave or SoHo, I'd be willing to send $20 by PayPal in return for it (obviously it has to be a reservation which they now have stock for).

No help to the OP but...

I had someone buy me a 64GB 3G in the 'states last week (and I love it). Three reservations were done (on different iTunes accounts) in PA and NC. One of them came true last week and they picked up my iPad and brought it back at the weekend.

The other two still haven't come true yet, but when they do I'll be sticking them up on the forums for anyone that wants them.

Surprised I haven't seen more up on here tbh!
