I am thinking about picking up an Apple TV, but wanted to confirm if I could transfer/copy my current iTunes library on my UMBP to the Apple TV. For example, if I have purchased some complete seasons of different TV series on iTunes and they are downloaded to my laptop; can I also download them to the Apple TV HDD and watch them on my TV this way? Fingers crossed!

Thank you in advance!

Also, on the Apple website it states you need a TV with the following specs for the unit to work.

Widescreen TV
Apple TV works with widescreen, enhanced-definition, or high-definition TVs capable of:
• 1080p/i 60/50 Hz
• 720p 60/50Hz
• 576p 50Hz (PAL format)
• 480p 60Hz

How about a LED TV with 1080 @ 120Hz over the stated 60/50 Hz?

Not sure if that makes a difference so that the Apple TV won't work.

Why post the same thing twice? You can copy your stuff across (or stream it) from your notebook.
Your sig says you already have an Apple TV?

I wasn't aware that I did - not sure how that happened like a half hour apart. But I did ask a different question at least LOL.

As for the sig, I got a little happy so I updated it. Just got my e-mail confirming the order! :D
