Current SMC Firmware (24")

What is the current SMC Firmware available for the 24" imac. I thought a week ago our 24"imacs were called "Late 2006" but now they seem to be called "Mid 2006". Whats the deal?

Could that mean there will be another revision of iMacs before 2007?

Where do you see the 24" iMac referred to specifically as "mid 2006?" Everything I see refers to it as "late 2006." To my knowledge the only "mid 2006" iMac is the EDU-only eMac replacement that appeared in July.
